Performance-based poetry that focuses on the aesthetics of word play and story-telling, often including collaboration and experimentation with other art forms such as music, theater, and dance.
A medium, increasingly associated with feminist and queer mvements, in which marginalized individuals and communities may use to express their experiences and critique existing power structures.
All Sarasota-area youth, ages 13-21, are invited to join us for these workshops, facilitated by Florida Studio Theatre instructors for these four great, consecutive workshops.
Week-to-week participation is not required, however, we recognize a greater sense of accomplishment and benefit will come from complete participation.
