Sadly, ALSO Youth's Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot will not be held this year in downtown Sarasota, Florida but will resume in 2021 bigger & better than ever!
It is with sincere caution for the health and well-being of the 2000+ runners, attendees, employees and numerous volunteers, unfortunately we cannot move forward with a live run this year.
As one of our youth alumni recently posted on social media: “ALSO was there for a rough part of my life and without the love and support provided there I honestly wouldn’t be who I am today. I miss it very much.”
As you know, ALSO Youth is an organization that supports the LGBTQ+ youth of Sarasota and Manatee counties with drop-in centers, education, resources, and support. We rely on annual events like the Turkey Trot which supports our budget each year. In order to continue providing the highest level of programming for our youth we rely on fundraising efforts throughout the year.
With 2020 bringing additional challenges we are opening our registration for our 2021 Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Day 5K. When you register for 2021, you will receive an Early Bird discount not being offered at any other time. In addition, with a donation of $35 or more, you will receive this year’s shirt as our way of thanking you for your commitment and support. Please indicate size and gender for your shirt in the additional information page of the donation link. See the links at the top of the page.
If you register before April 30th, 2021, you qualify for a special drawing to be awarded at the 2021 Turkey Trot.
