• Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida offers comprehensive STD testing, counseling, and workshops on safe sex and family planning.  

• HIV/AIDS Network of Sarasota links individuals, agencies, health care professionals and other service providers committed to reducing the negative impact of HIV & AIDS. They are your first stop for HIV/AIDS information, services and resources in Sarasota County.

• Sarasota Pride is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons and to promote a positive image in the area surrounding Sarasota and the state of Florida by way of community activities and services.  Sarasota Pride sponsors the annual Sarasota Pridefest event.

• Diversity Sarasota is a local performance group that values diversity and is open to people from all walks of life.

• GaySarasota.com is the virtual online GLBT community center for Sarasota and Manatee Counties.  It includes links to information on social, professional, spiritual, political, and support groups, as well as a local events calendar. GaySarasota.com is a comprehensive starting place for local GLBT information.

• JASMYN (Jacksonville Sexual Minority Youth Network) is a youth services and advocacy organization that focuses specifically on youth who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or uncertain about their sexual orientation (or youth who become labeled as such because of their behavior or situations).  JASMYN is open to all youth regardless of sexual orientation, and serves the Jacksonville metropolitan area.

• GayFlorida.Com, This website includes listings and information on gay-friendly businesses, organizations, and events throughout Florida

National Resources:

• 1800RUNAWAY.org,  This is a national resource for runaways or youth thinking about running away.

• Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network (GLSEN), GLSEN conducts annual surveys of the school "climate" for GLBTQ youth.  They sponsor workshops and events, as well as leadership training opportunities and student mentoring.
